Hey, guys. Adam here with a little trivia and speculation on a fairly new archetype - Elemental Lords.
Konami’s revamping the Turbo Pack into an Astral Pack. Click the title for more details and a history of tournament packs.
Hey, guys, Adam here. At the beginning of September, a couple members from Team Misplay (including myself) and a couple people from Clockwork locals went to the Regionals in San Antonio on the day that the new ban list became effective. I ended up getting 40th place (Top 48 got invites), so I decided that I would let y’all know what kinds of decks I experienced. This report is a bit late, so I apologize.
Hey guys, Adam here.
So a link to this database was posted recently by Julia Hedberg on her Facebook page.
This website is not only a database for all cards released in the TCG (there’s an OCG portion to the site, but it’s completely in Japanese), but also has many tools that help any competitive player. To use all of the features of the DB, you must have a COSSY ID and the password to your COSSY account. If you do not have a COSSY ID, you can get one at any Official Tournament Store (click here for a list of OTSs) or at an higher-level event like Regionals or YCS. If you have not made your COSSY account yet, you can do so here.
The database shows you many things about a certain card, including complete card stats, what sets a card was released in, what rarities they were released in, what dates those sets became legal, and the card codes (such as FOTB-EN001) which will allow you to more easily find that specific card on online shops, such as TrollandToad.com.
The current Forbidden and Limited List is posted to the site.
All sets that Konami has released (post-UDE). I am expecting that to change as Konami continue to develop the database, and I expect ALL card sets since LOB to be added at a later date.
Card lists, such as Want or Have, so you can keep track of cards.
Deck lists, so you can input all the cards in a deck and save it online. Another feature of the deck list portion of the site is the functionality to print a PDF of your decklist. When you do this, it will put the cards in your deck into the Deck List Form that Konami requires for higher level events like Regionals and YCS, then save that form to your computer as a PDF. You can then print it out as much as you want.
My personal favorite feature is the deck list feature. Before this, I wrote all of my deck lists by hand (even though there was already an editable deck list online) because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to change a tech or my Extra or Side Deck the night before a tournament, and you weren’t able to change the editable deck list after you saved it. Now, if I want to change something, I can just change the deck list on the DB and generate a new paper deck list. It’s also nice that I can access a card database on my iPhone (DuelingNetwork is flash-based, therefore I cannot view it on the iPhone).
What is your favorite feature of the Yu-Gi-Oh! DB?!
